May 5th, 2008   A Day at Niagara Falls
What a place total beauty
Note large boat next to larger water falls.
This is the Bridal Vail Falls in Niagara Fall NY.
Papi and Sophia enjoying the fresh air
Daddy's turn but he was a little scared from the height and falling over.
Canada across the river.
Christopher Found him munching on the grass by the cliff of the falls.
They have built a good size city next to the falls on Canada's side.
We had to ask a couple of people to take a picture of us until Daddy got the one he wanted.
Niagara River. this come out of Lake Erie and into Lake Ontario.
It was a nice park like setting next to falls.
this is just so unbelievable.  The beauty, Power of the falls takes you in.
This is the half bridge. The square column has elevators that take you down to the river level.  Then you can get one a boat and ride right next tot the falls and feel the power from below.
The falls closest are the Bridal Falls.  The one way in the back is called Horse Shoe falls well because it is shaped like a you got Horse Shoe.  They say you normally cant see it from here do to the mist and wind but the wind was blowing to the east and exposed some of it.
Daddy playing with the kids under the half bridge.
this is the view across the river into Canada.  The big building in the back is a water park.
Some more of the half bridge.  you will see a picture later that will show why I call it the half bridge.
Not the boat to the right,  it  is a very large boat.  But, it looks small next to the falls.
I just could not stop taking picks of the falls.  I like the mist coming up in this one.
OK  now you can see the boat and how small the people are next to the boat.
This is looking south into Canada by the horse shoe falls.
I will need to research this again to find out what it was.  I think it was a small water fall at one time.
this was the hole on the top.
This is when we took the elevator down to the river bottom to ride the boat.  That is a full size building with the rock backing.  You can see the water fall behind and how massive it is.
We are now on the boat with the trash I mean rain coats over us.
Christopher was glad to get on the boat until he found out he was going to get wet.  Then it was get me off of this.
The boat heading for the Bridal Falls.
They look small but they are not
Now you can see my half bridge in the back ground.
Christopher went under Papi's trash bag  Oh I mean rain coat to help stay dry.
This was so much fun. The weather was about 70+ degrees.
Daddy puffed up like a blow fish from the wind the falls make.
We are heading now for Horse  shoe falls.
The girls well they loved it the wind &  spray from the falls.
This is .horse shoe falls. only part because the other half was in mist and I didn't want to get my camera wet.
This bridge connects USA to Canada.
In the middle of it is the divider USA flag to the right and Canada flag to the left with the lamp in the middle.
Now after a 6+ hour day looking at the falls Christopher wanted to take a ride on the trolley.  So we quickly said YES.  It was a great way to see the whole area.
All here! lets go.
Again across the river to Canada.
and This one is the whole bridge.
Plant Hollywood in Canada
An old Hydro Electric plant was here until is collapsed.
This kind of talks about it.
This is were some of it was.
Okay all here again and ready to go.
This hen has are of his chicks let go.
HAHA I see you.
Man I was in love Tulips Everywhere.
The River right before going over the falls.
Some more
Wow! that is a lot of water
Christopher being silly with the falls behind him.
I let  Papi go down hill, and he let (made not just kidding) push them back up the hill.
More shot of the falls.  I will clear the text and let you enjoy the pictures.
Look how clear the water is.
The wind changed and the mist started to blow right over all of us.  It was like a heavy rain in San Diego.
Papi got stuck behind Christopher and I ran.
So far this has been a beautiful state.
They told us that a 7 year old fell over the water falls and had a life vest on and one of the boats pulled him from the water and lived, back in the I think 70's.
The boat looks like it is being taking over by the water.
See the rainbow?
And again.
They are making a walking path at the bottom so you can get real close.
I love this boy.
I found this where Christopher was standing.
Christopher running over the old stone bridge.
See the people and the falls all I can say is WOW!
Christopher:  Why is he so big?
They have froze over a few times.
Christopher chasing a Seagull.
Now he is making is penny souvenir.
I was so impressed with all of the Tulips around everywhere.
Christopher  found someone to talk to and wanted to know if he was sad.
Boarder Crossing
We drove by this and Christopher yelled out I want an Ice Cream.
An old Church in Niagara Fall NY.
Christopher asked my to take a picture of this LADY.  I told him it was the Virgin Mary.
Nad we were on the road for only 2 minutes and all three are out.
